The Vivekananda Memorial at Kunthukal is located in a serene fishing village near Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. This memorial commemorates the return of Swami Vivekananda to India on January 26, 1897, after his participation in the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago. The memorial, inaugurated on January 26, 2010, features a 6-foot statue of Swami Vivekananda alongside Ramanathapuram King Baskara Sethupathi, who sponsored his visit. The site also includes a spiritual library and a meditation hall, offering visitors a tranquil space for reflection and learning.
